Can I sue a hospital, or just the doctor?

You may be able to sue both. If the doctor is an employee of the hospital, the hospital may be vicariously liable. Additionally, if the hospital itself was negligent — in hiring, staffing, or maintaining safety protocols — it can be held directly responsible.
